I’m not recieving power at starter relay from the ignition, shows a ground instead. Tried shifting through ranges and still no start. I'm no engineer but I had a 2009 Silverado and never came across this problem. This is a big vehicle and I believe this poses a great safety risk to myself and family as well as the public. Many times when the truck has lost all power steering and braking capability, myself or my family members who are driving have narrowly avoided accidents. My 2005 Chevy 2500 HD won't start. Engine won't turn over with key at all. Batteries are hot. You can take a power probe and shoot 12v to starter solenoid wire and it will crank and run fine. I traced that wire back to the fuse panel under the hood on the driver's side. There is a CRANK fuse as well as a starter relay in that panel. The fuses are the following ----one is labeled as crank and the other 3 or 4 or labeled ign1, ign2, ign 3 and ign 4. When removing the key out of the ignition the voltage of 5.5 stays. It only goes back to 0 when the pcm fuse is pulled. This is how I know it is not getting any power. I've tested my fuel pump fuse and it is still working. I've also checked the fuel pump relay which seems to be working aswell. Is there any other reason my fuel pump not receiving power? I have no ideas left except maybe fuel pressure sensor is not allowing relay to function. Re: how to remove fuse box from Silverado? January 10th, 2015, 09:40 AM I haven't messed with that particular vehicle but most GMs have a central bolt in the middle of the fuse block that positively secures the wiring harness (underhood) side to the fuse block (in-car) side. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles (30 minutes). The car is now ready to relearn the Passlock sensor data code (or password) the next time the ignition key is turned from off to crank. The vehicle will learn the Passlock sensor code (or password) on the next turn of the ignition key from off to crank.
